Hi, I'm Shawn M. Adams—a creative technologist and engineering leader with ~23 years bridging design and engineering at startups and large enterprises. I build teams, platforms, and design systems that help organizations ship better product experiences faster.
Today I serve as Associate Director-Cloud at Verizon, leading API and AI resource discovery, development, and governance—after two years as Senior Manager-Cloud (2022–2024) consolidating legacy portals and launching the public developer portal. Previously, I was Senior Front-End Engineer at Arta (arta.io), where I architected design systems and logistics product surfaces, and Software Engineer at Unified (unified.com, formerly Unified Social), building advertising-intelligence UI and a shared React component library. My earlier career spans QFive, Straus (10Coupons), Lift Media, and RegionalHelpWanted/Cupid—always at the intersection of design and code.
I'm seeking Director or Senior Manager roles in Product Engineering, Design Engineering, or Software Engineering Management—front-end leaning work where I can combine org building, design sensibility, and hands-on platform expertise.
