Context

QFive is a social platform connecting athletes, fans, coaches, and athletic programs. I worked directly with founders and senior developers in an agile Rails environment to deliver the web experience and guide mobile UX.

Challenge

The product needed to launch quickly with a distinctive brand, responsive web experience, and cohesive mobile patterns—while the team was still finding product-market fit in a competitive sports social space.

Process & Approach

  1. 01

Owned branding, UI/UX, responsive design, and rapid prototyping from concept through implementation.

  2. 02

Built features in HTML/Slim, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, and CoffeeScript within a Rails codebase.

  3. 03

Collaborated with Pivotal Labs on iOS UX, providing graphic assets and interaction guidance.

  4. 04

Worked in agile sprints with founders and senior developers to prioritize athlete-facing workflows.
